If anyone can post a link of a charity ad stating clearly on the ad how much actually goes directly to help people/animals, i will personally donate £1,000 right away. If more then 1 ad is posted i will distribute evenly the £1,000 between the ads. Please send in your submissions by EOD today.
Thank you.
Or from an internet advertisement:
Compass Advocacy Network
Looks like this charity has no overheads - 100% of the money raised goes to help people directly. I'd still like your donation to go to McMillan please. The forum will wait for you to post a screenshot.0 -

Yet one of their annual accounts says
£163,980 for salaries and NI
£8,979 for pensions
£8,299 for meeting expenses
£16,495 for travail expenses
£18,125 for rent
£11,661 for conferences
£6,185 for housekeeping
£2,324 public relations
100% goes to learning disabilities eh?
Also looks like the lions share of their funds come from other charities and the lotto not from public donations.0 -

I was talking about Hamish but perhaps there is some history I am not aware of?
The Brexit thread got hijacked with page after page of irrelevant and off topic posts. This is their thread to discuss that stuff.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

I am still waiting for suitable ads. All ads posted so far are not suitable as evidenced by GreatApe.0

A lot of problems are caused as I said by the NHS and its terrible treatment of people with mental illness. If there was the support and more research into medication a lot of the people who self medicate would stop doing it.
This is very true. NHS provide a very basic bulk-style service for mental illness.
For non-critical health issues i would say NHS also provide very basic level of service and almost always private is much better (in terms of timing and treatment effectiveness).
The only thing the NHS is good for is life critical services. They are fast and effective.
I am all for privatization of healthcare for all but critical life-threatening issues.0 -

Yup, as I suspected, another example of the infantile nature of what you post by means of trying to make a point. How many companies private, public or charity put a detailed breakdown of their expenses on adverts? You have a small box on a toilet cubicle - I know what, let's put our accounts and expenses information in detail up there. Oh what's that? No room to get our message across? Oh yeah, bummer. Many charities provide a breakdown as to how your money is spent, and if they don't the information is freely available. Just as if you want to look into a shareholders report from a FTSE 100 company.
Of course, I realise you were never going to give a grand to charity, even if I did spend my evening digging up adverts. You of course think you've made some hard hitting point, and I'd carry on laughing at you, but cancer isn't really a laughing matter. Regardless of the money 'wasted on running costs', I wonder how many cancer sufferers would rather that MacMillan or Cancer research just dissolved already?0 -

Are any of you simpletons able to keep any thread on topic for more than a couple of pages!? Awesome, let's discuss your mental health problems and disseminate the NHS again for the 20000000th time in the last month.0 -

We wouldn't need to if the NHS did what it is supposed to do.0
