Alex the holiday sounds so exciting, such wonderful memories you will make as a family.:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0

I take it your wife is going on the holiday too Alex? It does sound amazing, but yeah, expect a fine for missing that much school!0

An amazing experience for you all.

:rotfl: Son will be having 3 weeks off school for it which I'm sure they won't be pleased about but he'll be spending his birthday on the Serengeti and he can catch up.Red-Squirrel wrote: »I take it your wife is going on the holiday too Alex? I was thinking the same RS.
It sounds like an AMAZING trip Alex, but I hope your holiday pot has a bit more stretch room in it as well: my dentist told me lately that taking children out of school during term time where she lives is charged at £250 per child! :eek:Debt: £11,640.02 paid in full! DFD: 30/06/20

We are really looking forward to it.
To be fair, mother has paid for our flights but has said now things are different with the business we need to pay for accommodation. Mrs. K. thought it amusing she booked business class for us but mother will be in first ... :rotfl: I'll be honest it's going to come from profits I would normally reinvest.
No need for another saving pot that way.
Son can't stop telling everyone he's going on a safari but doesn't know he'll be there for his birthday. Regarding school, they are on questionable grounds fining, IIRC.
Easter next weekend. Seeing the in laws which means snooker rematch with father-in-law. Been practising at my parents' this evening and not looking too good. :rotfl:
Can't sleep tonight, lots on my mind re. moving the property business forward. A few years ago I wouldn't have took it seriously, been very happy with the income it brings in and spent it all.Apart from the holiday, I plan to reinvest everything. The income scares me these days. I don't want to go back to my old ways and don't want my son to grow up thinking money grows on trees either. Mrs. K. doesn't really like it.
Not really sure I should be on here anymore.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -

Morning Alex, I'm slightly confused as to the above comment?MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Not anymore, the Supreme Court ruled against the parent whose appeal became a test case.

The fine will be a drop in the ocean compared to the cost of your holiday though.
Have a nice Easter with the MrsK side of the family, good luck in the rematch!0 -
