2018 - No Clutter To Be Seen

Not much time in the last couple of days, but I'll count half a bag each day of general bits for charity shop.
bag 6
I'm eyeing up a few things to go tomorrow,
1. a big serving platter with dividers for dips and things, currently just stands on top of the fridge, and hasn't been used for ages.
2. white basket tower from bathroom, the type with a metal frame and small baskets. I need to clear and rehome the remaining contents, having got rid of the expired stuff. If I hadn't been on this thread, I'm sure by now I'd be feeling fed-up, still feeling excited, with waves of being upset at having acquired so much stuff for no real reason.0 -
Well done everyone, especially Basketcase for hitting half-way. I am constantly impressed at how people keep going when their lives are busy.0

Well done to those that have reached their targets. Just shows us all what can be done if we work as a team and encourage each other.
My decluttering has slowed down a considerable amount as busy semi self sufficient we are busy planting, putting seeds in and maintenance jobs in the garden. Our hens and ducks are freerange girls and boys so it needs too be safe for them. Always this time of year we have a bit of a list of things that need to be done and we are working through that list. Only problem we have found is that even though we are marking things off on the list it has also grown with new jobs to do have been added. We will get there then I can get back to the house decluttering.
Anyway there are a few bits that are leaving the house.
1 Broken small basket BURN ON STOVE
1 Pair headphones BROKEN
1 Very rusty broken bird feeder
1 Pen UU
1 Sample hand cream UU
Just the 5 for me this time. Will update total when I have time look back and find it. I have no idea where it is page wise but will eventually look for it.

Well done, basketcase, superdecluttering inspiration and well done to everyone else and welcome Molillie, . Those bathroom tower things are a decluttering paradise - you never know what you will find in them.
276 doll's garden seat.
I bought this as a present for DGC but as it is cast iron and toddlers tend to throw things I think it should be rehomed to CS. I bought it for very little at a French brocante aka boot sale.Wet here today so missed my trip to the dump as I didn't fancy walking about in the wet withmy cardboard and bottles.I have been collecting up plastic plant pots for a garden centre to take, but it is some distance away, so they are procrasticluttering up the shed.I don't think I've got the right verb, but never mind.0 -

Greetings all! And well done on the latest figures. I notice that nearly everybody’s saying that their decluttering is slow/not much etc. BUT you’ve all been going for much longer than I have and have often done previous rounds of decluttering. So you’re looking for things to fling, whereas I’m (literally in some cases
) tripping over stuff!
Weirdly, getting out of bed an hour earlier seems to give me the energy to do more. Surprising because I’m a confirmed night owl. I think it’s because I get the morning tasks done before I’ve woken up!:rotfl: Speaking of which, kitchen and bathroom S&S +1s done. The extra in the kitchen was to clean and clear the fridge, which I did earlier in the week so I nearly didn’t bother doing it. Good job I had a quick check – the milk bottle leaked and needed a quick mop up. I actually got round to reorganising the small freezer so that it now has DD’s GF stuff in it – but nothing got ditched so weight=0.
Still in the kitchen, I decluttered the top of my fridge-freezer. I put the biscuits that were on top of the f-f into the 2 (empty!) biscuit barrels (1 for GF, one for real). They were sitting right next to them! What was that about?? Moved a sizable amount of (very light) rubbish plus 2 Quality Street tins full of junk. Junk binned, 1 tin recycled, 1 washed and sent to DD’s stores (because she bakes). Ghetto blaster moved from Lavender Room (where it’s clutter) and placed on top of f-f (where it’s useful)
I also got really cross that the defunct microwave was still hanging about waiting to be moved. So I put on my wrist brace, grabbed the computer chair from the Lavender Room, and used the adrenalin to slide the m’wave onto the chair, roll it out of the door and lower it straight down into the corner for pick up. Result! As the table was now clear, I could put a new tablecloth on (which actually matched the decor and was ‘waiting’ to be put on...)
I have my wheels back:j, so I’ll be able to deliver some stuff to the Salvation Army tomorrow.
All this activity (and, if I’m honest about the microwave episode, stupidity:o) had the following result:
Tablecloth, 1lb
Microwave, 45lbs
Ghetto Blaster, 11lbs
2x Biscuit barrels & biscuits, 3.25lbs
2x Quality Street tins & contents, 3.25lbs
Totals
Day’s Total 63.5lbs
Running total 1095lbs
PS: retiredinfrance - If procrasticluttering isn't the right verb, it OUGHT to be...:DA budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!
