Last night I have deleted a load of extensions etc from the laptop and it's finally running at a normal speed :j :j

This morning I have cleared all the surveys out of my inbox. I can finally sit in the conservatory again, I know I shouldn't complain but it's been too hot for me so it's nice to have some rain today :D

I'm off to Tescos in a bit, I don't want to spend too much as we go away next weekend but the cupboards are pretty bare so I do need some stuff.

Ds will be home around lunchtime, other than that I'm not too sure yet of todays plans.

So the shopping trip came in at a more than I wanted (£84) but I have got tonnes of dog food, an expensive pack of pens for work, a whiteboard for the kitchen and another 3 bottles of Method cleaner - it's my new guilty pleasure and I now have almost very fragrance they do :o In my defence they were on a 3 for £6 today, so I got the water mint and the limited edition rose gold colour bottle and the floor cleaner that smells like almond. I do need to stop stockpiling them now though as I now have 6 unopened bottles :o:o

We're having a roast dinner later as the weather is so rubbish, haven't felt like having a roast dinner for weeks! Ds is home now, he's planning an afternoon of gaming. I'm going to be pottering mainly.

I will also update my to do list as I keep thinking of random bits to add on to it, I just don't feel much like doing any of it :D

I've had quite a productive morning today, not the morning I planned at all though ...

I have posted an ebay parcel, I have informed my bank of when I'll be abroad so my card doesn't get stopped ;),I've opened a new regular saver account as the last one was only 12 months and has now run out and lastly I was checking bank accounts and realised ds' main savings account had disappeared  Turns out that even though I had updated my address and I am in charge of ds account as he is under 18, I needed to update his address separately. So as they had had post returned from my old address they had blocked the account. Anyway, a phone call has sorted all that and everything is now back to normal.

This afternoon I'm going to gut / shred / bin a load of old paperwork and get it back under control.

So, another thing that has been in the pipeline for a while ....

Each year I but a load of cards from Phoenix Trading to last me the year, I discovered recently that the company has stopped trading, (due to expansion in the US that didn't work out), however it has been relaunched under a new name - Flamingo Paperie. I have looked at their starter packs and am trying to decide whether to give it a go (probably a yes) and if so which starter pack to go for ....

So basically the cards retail for £2 each or £1.60 if you buy 10. They really are great quality and actually work out cheaper often than supermarkets these days. I genuinely have been buying them for years so it is a product I truly believe in (unlike a lot of the aloe vera / herbal type products). You can just sell them online if you choose, or you can do the usual parties / fetes / brochure drops etc, however I think I would concentrate on online sales and maybe selling at work.

Other news today - my child benefit payments are made every 4 weeks so this is the one month a year where i get two payments, the second of which arrived in my account today, so that has been whisked off to my brothers fund :D

I used to buy a LOT of their cards.
    As you say great quality.
Used to be a wee bit different too.
I would definatly give it a go.
I am sure you will do really well especially at school.

    Just had a wee look.
You could go for the £95 pack & see how it goes :)

Thanks Beanie, I was thinking of starter pack 2 :)
At school it would be just staff, (kids don't have book bags and we don't do a fete type event at the moment), but we do have 150+ staff and I think it would be a small regular stream of business. We do have someone who comes in from the Book People and they regularly get orders from about 10-20 people every month. Even if it was just the admin lady who has to nip to Sainsburys for all the new baby / new home / get well soon / sorry you're leaving cards throughout the year for the staff, that would all help! :D

I think I might give it a go - each month I put £100 into my household budget, for unforeseen emergencies / decorating costs etc. Perhaps this month I spend it on the starter pack instead? :D
