So I had a lovely shopping trip yesterday, I did spend too much but it's very rare I do it. I pent about £20 in primark on some new cami tops, new bras and pj's. I spent £5 on parking, £6 on lunch, £6 on having my eyebrows threaded, £20 in H&M on 2 t-shirts, some shorts and a dress, and my best buy of the day was a charcoal grey, 100% cashmere poncho form John Lewis, it was £110 reduced to £35 and I'd found a £10 John Lewis giftcard I'd forgotten about, so only actually cost me £25 :j :j It folds up small so will be ideal for holiday but is one of those items that I know I will wear to death :D

This morning I've been to the car boot sale again, today I got some kiddies Joules wellies (£2), a brand new with tags grey angora jumper from Next (£2.50), a Hobbs skirt (£1.50) and a teal monsoon angora cardigan (£1).

Then I did some job spotting in a local town and have cashed in £17.50 in Amazon vouchers from there :T

Finally I stopped at the Pick Your Own place and got some strawberries and a pear and ginger cake. I've just had a small bit and it tastes amazing :T

The rest of today will be quite chilled, I've got to do a bit of housework but I'm not going too mad as I'll have plenty of time soon :)

So the summer holidays are finally here :j :j :j

Today has been a crazy day at work, I'm so pleased to be out of there for a while :)

The list I wrote yesterday looks ridiculously short for one of my summer lists, I may re-attempt it ;)

In good news, today I cashed out £10 on prolific (signature updated) and also won £8 on the work sweepstake for having the lowest scoring team in the World Cup (Saudi Arabia :j).

  • Well done to Saudi Arabia! Your list looks long enough to me. Enjoy your summer hols. Looking forward to blog updates.

So despite being able to have a lie-in and not having to set the alarm for 6 weeks, I still managed to wake up at 5.26 today

I didn't get up til 7.30 but have found my housework bug, I've stripped both beds, gathered all the washing downstairs in a pile, rounded up all the washing-up, the dishwasher is on, the washing machine is on, I've been to Sainsburys and got a few bits as ds didn't have anything to take to work today for lunch. Nearly time now to start a big clean but first I've promised ds a bacon sandwich once he gets out the bath :D

How's DS doing now? Hope he's still enjoying the job? And how's your ebaying going?

Hi Pooky, he's doing good at the minute thanks, still loving his job :T Tomorrow is his birthday and last year that, for me, was the worst day ever ... he was badly let down by a friend and took a knife up to his room and was very very depressed all day. This year he has made plans again but I'm worried about him being let down and disappointed again. I hope once his birthday is out the way I might start to enjoy my holidays :o

Ebaying is slow at the moment, I've got quite a few bits to sell but as the weather is so nice people don't seem to be buying much - guessing we need rubbish weather so people are sat at home in the evenings with nothing to do.

Bacon sandwiches done, now it's time to crack on with some cleaning :D

So far ds birthday is going well - we went out for a nice breakfast this morning, he had some lovely gifts and lots of money too :) He's gone out with a friend and is allowed out later than usual, so I'm trying not to stress too much and am trying to trust him to be sensible and behave himself :o

While he's been out I've been to a local bed retailer with a friend and taken part in the Tempur challenge - if you've not heard of it either google it or read Martins weekly email - so basically you go into a participating retailer (Bensons for Beds) and try out 4 mattresses and they give you a leaflet with a code on it. You go home and fill in a super-short survey and then you can claim a free tempur travel pillow, RRP £50 :money: It was so so easy - the lady in the shop just showed us where the mattresses were, let us lie on them then went off and got out leaflets. There was no attempt to sell to us whatsoever, we were in and out in less than 5 minutes :D The pillows are selling on ebay for about £30 so I may either stick it on there or I may give it to my brother for Christmas as he does loads of travelling with work and would use it ;)
