Thankyou DFWPrincess, and good luck with your journey

I've taken a break from trying to sort the figures as I'm getting myself in a complete muddle. I think what I will do is work out how much *should* be in the various accounts, make sure that the priority ones are right, then keep going further down the list. If I make it to the end and there is still money left over then I can decide what to do with it at that point
I really must streamline my accounts though, no wonder I get confused. That's a job for this week before we go back to school

:j :j Happy New Year!!! :j :j
Last night we went to a friends house and it was lovely, then after midnight they suggested playing a board game which was lots of fun but didn't finish until 3am  I feel dead to the world this morning. Hopefully lots of cups of tea will help. Today is a roast beef dinner day and a football day. Nothing much else planned, maybe a walk along the beach if I find some energy. More likely a nap on the sofa

So, as part of the new finances this year, I need to move £100 from my wages into my brothers fund. I will do this today, the other £100 comes from my maintenance money, hopefully that will be in tomorrow.Mortgage Total: £49,992/ £75,000

Late nights are really not good for me, I've got a thumping headache

I have managed to bag a bargain though, on a local facebook selling site someone was selling an old hostess trolley for £5. I've been and collected it, I will take the actual thing to the tip (not risking a 30 year old electrical item that has been stored in a shed for 20 years), but it has 4 of the original pyrex glass serving dishes in it that go for about £15 each on ebay :money:
I've also made a pavlova, its in the oven now, and the roast beef is in the slow cooker for dinner. Almost time for a nap me thinks

I tried that with Mums old one, no interest at all (it's heavy and bulky)

Surprise surprise, my maintenance has arrived and instead of being the £480 he's meant to pay I've got £132

He's just text me saying he has a new job and that is the new amount based on that  Happy New Year .... there is not a chance in hell that someone changes jobs to one paying 2/3rds less than the old one?? I'm assuming this new one is more commission based so he can hide it from them. CSA here I come again ... !!!!!!, that messes up the holiday budget completely!!Mortgage Total: £49,992/ £75,000

Okay, no point panicking about it just yet, I have moved the £100 from the maintenance into savings as planned, the £32 will go in the holiday pot but is not quite the £380 expected
I also have £6 in interest that has arrived today, that's in the savings pot too
I've also spent Amazon vouchers, my sister wanted me to order her something and is paying me cash, so I have transferred the equivalent into the savings. Mortgage Total: £49,992/ £75,000
