just bent sreen back,still no luck,just wondering as i got upgrade from 512mb to 1 g ram,could they have put in extra and messed up laptop?0

Even if there were no ram in the laptops, the screens should still come on.
Do you have an external screen to try? This will tell you if it is a screen issue or something else. If you have one, plug it into the back, then press FN + F5 at the same time, several times, see if anything comes on screen. If you haven't already, try powering on without the battery in, whilst connected to mains.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
Hi there
Sometimes to persuade my laptop to go to logon screen, I need to press SPACE Bar just to 'remind it' I am here - but that is usually out of hibernation. Have you tried using the recovery disks sent with them?

On my fuji its the Fn key and F4 to toggle between screen and VGA although when on VGA mode both work anyway.0
