  • I'm moving next week too! Second time around and so exciting. I have made a spreadsheet with every company I need to inform, account numbers and telephone numbers so I can tick as they are done.
Broadband and phone I have pre-booked online to be installed late moving day. Have sorted water online. Van is hired (with ourselves driving). Pretty much living with bare essentials now. As we are selling, I believe we need to take meter readings when we leave as well as when we move in- taking photos is a great idea!
  • Hi all, just to piggy back on this thread slightly - this might sound like a stupid question, but how do you know who the current suppliers are?

Your solicitor should have sent you a copy of propery questionaire completed by the vendor. This contains a lot of usefull information.
  • Take a few light bulbs of various fittings with you...I’ve known bulbs to be removed by vendors or dead ones not replaced. You don’t want to be trying to unpack a room by torchlight or moving bulbs around.
