Proberly, decided to go with plus net ..but think most suppliers use the BT line im hoping that plusnet will have the power to get things fixed0

Based on my recent experience with Plusnet they are no better. We’ve been without broadband since before Xmas. The staff on the online chat are polite but don’t seem to be very experienced. To be able to get an Openreach engineer to come out i’ve Had to phone, which meant waiting on hold for nearly 40 minutes. This is the second time i’ve Had no broadband in the last couple of months took ten days to get it fixed last time.0

If you are leaving BT then presumably you have already ordered service from another company...when is that company taking over or starting to provide your phone/broadband service ?
If you are in the period between quitting BT and starting with another company , then if the problem you were having is down to your own equipment or wiring, then any Telco isn't likely to send out Openreach , unless the problem is obviously an 'external' problem, because if Openreach called, discovered ( for example ) that the 'fault' was your own faulty extension wiring, by the time the bill for the unneccesary visit was processed, you wouldn't be a BT customer any longer so they wouldn't easily be able to charge you for that chargeable visit.
By changing provider, you were being optimistic to expect the provider you are leaving to do anything , you may have to wait until the new provider takes over, and if whatever problem you are having persists, get that new company to investigate it for you0
