    Good morning,

I was making breakfast at 5:50 am and did think of starting the daily but I wasn't convinced I'd make any sense. I'm a bit tired. I have just been to the pharmacy and handed over what feels like my weekly income for throat spray and painkillers for the House Troll who is coughing himself inside out. My choices once I was home were to put the tree away or start on the prosecco. I was awake this morning from 3am for the third night on the trot....guess which one I chose?

I spent a couple of hours last night answering tweets and chatting on Sarah Millican's joinin. I went to bed feeling so lucky for all that I have.

Thinking of Frank and Margaret today on their wedding anniversary.

    Take care all of you
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Christmas was a non event for us, OH had chicken salad for his Christmas supper.

I am feeling a little more human, but still bed bound, will be for another few days I think. I keep falling asleep, but then sleep is supposed to be the best medicine!!

    Afternoon all.

It’s done for another year. :j

Today it will be reading books, eating leftovers and drinking wine (later). I’ve been updating and backing up technological devices until I’m dizzy.

There’s been snow overnight though it’s now only on the tops of cars.

I hope all’s well for folks or those struggling are getting better / getting help.

    Happy Tuesday to everyone.

Hoping that Frank and Margaret have a pleasant and peaceful day.

Mr LW is reading out clues to the general knowledge crossword and I have to keep asking him to repeat what he's said, as my hearing aid has packed up. :( It's most frustrating.
It also means a major expense in the near future because it's several years old now, and they won't repair it again.
I am seriously considering taking the opportunity to change to a different audiology service, as I am less than satisfied with the one I have been using, they are not terribly customer-oriented (for Pratchett fans - Mr LW says he reckons they are run by Reacher Gilt).
If I do, I shall also switch opticians (I am with the same people for audiology and optician services), and Mr LW is likely to switch, also.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I was just wondering where Hollyharvey was? Unlike her not to post and she didn't mention she was away, unless I missed it?

    Hope all is well HH.

    Afternoon all,

mainly popping on to see if there are any updates from Dumpling but also understanding if she doesnt feel like talking.... We are here if and when you are ready to talk. I must admit when i am going through a rough patch i need to heal a little myself before i can 'talk' about my issues.

Thinking of Frank and Margaret, so glad Frank has made it to their wedding anniversary. I hope he remains to be pain free.

Didnt sleep at all last night. It didnt help that i fell asleep at 7 for an hour and then Grump woke me at 3. One of the hounds needed to go out soon after.

Popped out for an hour this morning. We have amassed so many toiletries (not moaning by the way) i couldnt fit them under the sink where i usually keep them as there would have been no room for anything else so ive bought a 18 litre storage basket to store them under the bed till needed. 18 litres and its almost full!

Ive managed to do a bit of cleaning upstairs, hoping to do downstairs later and i might even get as far as using my scarey steam mop....it throws out much more steam than my old one did but that i think is because my old one was limescaled up.

Buffet tea tonight, something quick and easy.

    Have a good evening all,

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

    Good evening everyone :hello:

Oh you are all so kind to be thinking about my Becky and the rest of us, I feel quite teary now :heart:. Christmas day was fairly quiet and low key until the grandchildren came round in the late afternoon. To see their happiness as they played with their presents made me quite overwhelmed but in a good way. Becky stayed in her room mostly which was fine as that was what she needed. She is in a bad mood at the moment though so we are all walking on eggshells here.

The girls had lots of lovely presents and seemed very happy with their loot and I had the best present from Steve, a money box with a lot of money in it to start a puppy fund :j:j:j. I am going to be doing a lot of research and then I am hoping to get a puppy in the late Spring, early Summer time. I am very excited as although we have our gorgeous boy Max, he is definitely Steve's dog and I longed for a dog of my own who would be my companion. At the moment I am thinking about a Bichon frise but I am happy to spend a lot of time thinking about what would be the best fit for us as a family.

Steve is cooking tea tonight, nothing too taxing as it is just turkey, chips and pickles. I am starting to get hungry now so I will point him towards the kitchen in a minute :D.

Glad to hear so many of you managed to have a nice day yesterday and very happy that Frank and Margaret managed to get to their anniversary.

Hope you all have had a nice day and loads of love to you all xx
  • Dumpling, glad things are no worse anyway, hope it stays peaceful for you all.

Silver-Oldie I was delighted to see that DIL got payback - that's what happens when you insult your in-laws!!

Hope everyone has had a good or good-ish couple of days.

Dumpling, glad it all worked out just about OK.

Had a quiet day with DH and today we’re picked up by a DH relative. Two nights in Kent with DH’s family. Homemade soup accompanied by the focaccia I cooked yesterday. Then leftovers and a trifle.
Very pleasant evening indoors (wet & windy outside) lots of chat and laughs.

    Talk to you all tomorrow.
