How could I do this with an apple tablet as Ive never had an I pad but thinking of upgrading to a larger screen size.
Could I download movies using netflix as Im not sure if I could get netflix via the equivalent of play store?

Netflix and Amazon Prime Video both allow downloading of movies and shows but in both cases not everything in their library can be. Both of them are available on Apple's store.
