Cheapest Apple Mac

Son who is in the 6th form now wants an apple mac which for the one he wants will cost over £900. We already know about the 3% quidco, but could he get any kind of student discount or possibly use someone elses uni info to get the largest discount.

He's paying for it himself and I want to get the very best deal for him that I can - he's worked really hard for his money and hasn't wasted it.

Their latest offer was a free ipod but can't see if that still stands plus by buying it through the Education site you get the extended 3 year warrenty.

  • The Higher Education discount is fab! I'm so glad my husband works at the college (where they do uni courses so they are technically apart of the uni).

Ask his school if you could buy it through them as they will already be able to claim a very big educational discount.

Obvously tell them thats it's for your son, and will be using it in school or for school work.
    Cashback sites are worth it:
    GP Cashback- £50 (£35 paid)
    PigsBack- £5.00 (£30 paid)
    Topcashback- £40 (£40 paid)
    Quidco- £50 (£43 paid)
    Ipoints- 500 + 2 CDs claimed
  • Thanks for all your replies - I know it was a long shot looking for discounts on an Apple. I will get my son to ask his school about their discount to see if that will bring the price down any further.

you should check out bigpockets too. they are selling a mini mac that looks really good for less than £300

Hopefully that will save you a few bucks.

    That's a really bad price.

Go one then Rich, where are they cheaper ?

You must have found them with that bold statement.

Please put a link as well mate.

That's got a G4 processor, which is two generations behind the current minis for not much cheaper.
