    Happy Birthday Murie!

GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY I hope the funeral went well (that sounded really weird but you know what I mean :o ) So sad his family couldn't attend :(

PEPPAPIG So sorry about your DH, hoping he is on the mend.

VULPIX Your poor stepson, that sounds so scary, from a tooth issue!

FREESPIRIT It was a bit of a bitter sweet victory, my sister and I have similar problems and always said that the ME label was wrong, we've had doctors say its all in her head, that she was ill and is now just conditioned to it etc, so to finally be able to stand up and say SEE! she was ill! is great, but the diagnosis sucks. She'll never get better :(

Well I have FINALLY finished the darned ESA form and the bloomin PIP people rang last night to book DH in for a face to face next week and then my appointment fell on the mat this morning for the week after! I really did have a 'are you flipping kidding me!' moment :( I swear they wont be happy until i'm stuck back in bed from exhaustion :(

On a more positive note, saw the Rheumatologist yesterday and she has said I also have fibromyalgia, was horrified that a doctor told me at 16 when he saw me about chronic back pain 'well everyone gets back pain once in a while don't they', and has decided to scan me from the shoulders to the toes in the MRI machine (and took most of my blood as well just to see if anything else might have been missed :rotfl: ). I'm a bit OMG! about it as i've never had anyone show any interest at all really, just got told to deal with it, but a bit panicky it might come back as the same as my sister or even more scary . . another dead end :(

    Hello my lovelies!!!

Sorry for another period of disappearing but I was snowed under working. I have left that job ((all good )) and within 11 days successfully passed 2 interviews for another job. It is within walking distance from my mums (where I'm back living) and doing a role I've always wanted to do.

This year I am determined to get totally on top of money , pay off my remaining debt and start officially saving for my own place.

Also in January I ticked off another life goal. I went to America (Florida and NY) was truly amazing , I went with my lovely friend and her partner.

Anyway I have more to add but wanted to stop by and say Hi! Looking forward to being a lot more active in this thread this year!

    Xxxxxx hugs to all xxxxx

Anyone stocked up in preparation of the "beast from the East" snow we are going to be getting??

Also - went into Home bargains today and they have some love mason jars and the likes for as little as 0.49p!

They also have some lovely Mother's Day items and a rather good Easter range!

Good to see you JJ. Your trip sounds great, glad you got to go X

peppapig, I hope your hubby is on the mend X

Freespirit - I'm still waiting on the bits and bobs coming from eBay. They are taking ages.

I am on the west of Scotland, but because of how narrow that bit of Scotland is, I'm almost in the middle. So I think we will get it pretty bad on Wed/Thursday. But I really felt the temp of the wind drop dramatically this afternoon. I'm all stocked up with milk, bread flour and a freezer and fridge full of food. Bring on the beast lol.

Afternoon all, it's been a while since I got on here so just catching up again now :)

We had a lovely weekend in Amsterdam, even if it was freezing!! We did A LOT of walking, my little legs were worn out by the Sunday. It was lovely though & I think I'd go again, just maybe go in warmer weather next time. The Ann Frank House was a highlight of the trip, you're not allowed to take any photographs in there though so I don't have any photos of it.

Belated Birthday Wishes to you Murie, I did see the very funky IG post the other day :)

Peppa - sorry to hear your OH is unwell. Sending virtual hugs & best wishes.

JJ - Florida is my most favourite place on the planet & I can't wait to go again (June). I'm very jealous you got NY in to your trip too, a NY trip is definitely on my bucket list. We always go to Florida as our 'Big' family holiday, but would like to have a few days in NY sometime soon.

Jakesmum - It's good that they have FINALLY given you a diagnosis, have they said how they will help you manage/treat it? I hear it's difficult to treat fibro, my sister has been having some tests done recently to rule things out & they now think it could be the same thing :(

I have had such a busy time in work lately, so trying to plan a quiet one this weekend. I have already ordered my groceries to be delivered on Friday, so my plan is to get home from work on Friday, put my shopping away & not leave the house again until Monday morning. I'm also trying to get into a healthier eating plan, so want to do some food prepping on the weekend. Let's hope it goes to plan :)

Rheumy Dr was very reluctant to talk about any management until she has seen the results of the MRI and blood tests just in case there is an underlying issue that doesn't come up in other run of the mill GP tests. So currently i'm sat here with 3 gentle stretching exercises awaiting an MRI appointment. I was a bit 'fibro? are you sure?' as i've had random pain for years and no-one has ever really shown any interest in it, was very surprised at the pain I felt when she was gently pressing on various areas, used to the random sharp pain, don't really notice the deep internal pain! but was not happy with the various places she was poking me :o

Nowt christmassy going on at all round here :( have been looking at holidays and we have a mad idea to rent a motorhome and take the kids to the seaside for a few days. The thought of parking a massive mobile home on some double yellows with one of our badges in the window and drinking a cuppa amused us greatly (we are very easily entertained :rotfl: ) It's all down to whether DH could handle the drive as i'm not allowed to drive further than our town centre :(
