  • The Mary Berry dish was quick and easy. Plus we already had most of the ingredients in, if we didn't we substituted. Still came out great.

As DH says a nice Friday night meal...plus leftovers for lunch tomorrow too...

Have a good rest of the evening all.

    Tonight is a new-for-us recipe.
Home made doner kebab from the Eat Well for Less programme.
I spotted some harrissa pitta breads in Mr T's so thought they'd go really well.
Might do a few home-made wedges to go with it.

Salmon with chilli ginger sauce was delicious and definitely on the make again list. I’d say cook the salmon for the shortest time possible as it kind of begins to cook in the marinade. We had stir fried broccoli and carrots and quinoa with it. Yum.

So glad to hear this as this has been on my "to eat" list for years

That sounds just the sort of dish I like - may be pinching that when I finally open the pot of stilton, thanks:)

I've still not managed to go through any cook books but I was noodling online for ideas to use up lurking bits in the fridge so tonight I'm making this https://thecookreport.co.uk/tomato-halloumi-bake/ (albeit scaled down) which I'll have with greek pitta bread:)

caronc did you make this the recipe sounds amazing

I've made this and it's just fine - benefits (for me anyway) from some mango chutney added to the sauce mix just before serving. If you like their "fakeaways" I really like the donner kebabs though made with very lean lamb mince is better though that's much harder to find https://www.slimmingworld.co.uk/recipes/doner-kebab.aspx

One of mine/families fav recipes, and dinner tonight :D
