It's a personal choice and the end result doesn't negate the thoughts, dilemas and personal circumstances that went into the decision. If you're going to just assume that the fact the majority in the end did take their husband's name means your fiance should then I don't think people should take part.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

  • Only take if you are married.

  • And people who can't read instructions
  • So not content with not getting the response you wanted in your other thread, you've now created a brand new one to try and get different people to reply?

Why does it matter what other people do with their lives? Your partner has said she wants to keep her name after getting married. What the rest of us do shouldn't impact that. Do you also want to start a thread to find out what birth control married couples are more likely to use? A poll on who's more likely to do the ironing? One on whose name goes on the car logbook?

  • That's not what the poll was for and if you can't read between the lines...

Actually can't read as it says no comments lol

Stick to the original thread if you want to comment please.

    On a public forum :rotfl:

Anyway as I mentioned in the other thread, why not just take her surname?
  • Yes it seems very popular

Don't think he's got the point Ilona - ie that this means the same as my ":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:" comment.

We could have phrased it as "Wot?!!!! Only married women allowed to speak then":rotfl:- singles and married men need not apply...:rotfl:
