    Depends what you are doing while watching the film...


    If you are running on the spot you would use a fair amount of energy but if just lounging on the sofa significantly less.

    From what I can see its likely to be the laptop that would use less energy but the amount actually used may depend on which generation of processor your have.

    To be honest the difference in electricity price between a laptop playing a film and a PS4 playing a film is not going to be much. At most in will be a couple of pence.

    If you want to know exacty you will have to measure the power consumption f each device when playing a flim. Then you can work out how much power will be used to play an entire film. The you can look up how much you pay for electricity per kWh and work out how much it would cost.
