Chin up Shaz - something better will come along!
Thank you:o0 -
What would they do that for? Did they say WHY they wanted £5000 or is it just a gift from you to them?
They're learning now that it pays to be honest at least!
Don't worry, shaz, there'll be something else, just better
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Last year we agreed a house price and the seller agreed. We got all excited only to be told later that they had a old buyer interested and would pay asking price, so we agreed to pay asking price.
We were just wanted to move as we were overcrowded and wanted a 3 bedroom semi, most of teh semis we saw at the time were over our budget or below but in less desirable areas, this one fitted bill especially being a very quiet street unlike our old street, we don't regret it and in fairness we did get a good price above the asking for our old house.
I really feel for you, buying houses can be a nightmare particuarly when you ain't got much money and every where you turn you get ripped off0 -

I got excited too.....nevermind its not ment to be.
This house buying system is crazy in this country. It would be so much simpler if the price was agreed subject to survey but I suppose with chains and things.......oh I don't know what they could do but they must be able to do something to stop this...
I know I'll live in a tent:rotfl:

Don't worry about "missing the boat"
There will be another one along soon.dolce vita's stock reply templates
#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided
#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now
#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing0 -

Never know, they might call you back next week begging you to buy it for your offer price.
Hardly a seller's market at the moment. 0
