I've pulled out of our house sale..........

I've had enough........ late this afternoon the estate agent rang me to say that the vendor wanted another £5000. Its been nearly 3.5 weeks since we agreed a price and the vendor has only just put an offer in on a place. I have no idea why its taken them so long:rolleyes:
We were told before we even viewed it that there wasn't a chain:rolleyes:
I thought they were serious sellers:rolleyes:
But I should of guessed when it was still on the rightmove website although I kept mentioning it and it was still there this morning.
I want to cry as I sort of fell in love with this house:o
I'm glad we hadn't paid for the searches:D
I've got to tell my hubby yet........
Ah well it wasn't ment to be...... back to the drawing board
I'm gutted:doh:

I think the system in this country is all wrong. I have just taken my house off the market for many reasons but I was really worried that any purchaser would make demands at a late stage after I paid out on surveys etc and the chain would collapse. I think buyers and sellers need to be protected.
I hope you havent spent any money. Ive lost money before purchasing houses that have fallen through and its no fun!0 -

I totally agree with you its stressful enough!
Don't worry we didn't lose any money as we do our own conveyancing. The searches would have cost us but we hadn't got that far.........thank goodness
