Blimey don't freak out the OP even more.
As I said above if she plugs it back in and leaves it overnight then she will soon know in the morning if it has kicked back in and working again. Thermometers are not required for that.'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought

Fridges and freezers often take their time to start working again after a power loss or defrost. Really do try not to panic and just leave it switched on. Fingers crossed by the time you get up tomorrow morning, it will be back doing its 'thing'yes yes yes.
Thank you
My back up plan is Currys for a new one tomorrow but I would really rather avoid this as I only have a tiny Mini which is probably even smaller than a small fridge :rotfl:
It's an Electrolux ETN2920.0 -
You can normally hear something coming from the fridge, but it is completely silent. As I said, I don't know whether there is power to it, I just know that it doesn't seem to be working at the moment. I turned the temperature back up when I noticed I'd gone too low but by then it had clicked off and wouldn't click back on.
That is probably normal, it might not click back on straight away or it might still think it is at a temperature where it doesn't need to click back on.So just to check - I'm definitely better off leaving it all plugged in?
Yes definitely leave it plugged in, you did say you have checked the fuse?
Leave it to the morning and don't panic.0 -
YES OP leave it plugged in, go to bed and have a listen in the morning
Good luck and please report back. I've got my fingers crossed for you'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought

In the short term, if it really is dead, keep the perishables in the boot of your car overnight - coldest place and secure. No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0
