I've been AWOL for a while so haven't posted for a couple of months or so. A good day today (5 coins) bringing my total to just over £350 now.

I had hoped for a trip to the U.S. this year so counted the contents of my pot of dreams (using a knife and a lot of patience to empty it :rotfl: ) and was over £700. I can't remember when it was though so I have no idea if I've broken the £1k barrier yet or not. The holiday didn't happen yet so I really can't wait for it to be full so we can try again for the trip in question next year. It could be a long wait though as I think it's meant to hold £1500 worth of £2 coins

Hello Burnleylad,
I will start up the new thread for 2019 towards the end of the year.
I monitor them because I am trying to collect all the different designs. Some people do because some are more valuable then others.

Getting towards the end of the year and I now have £74 - nice to have a small Christmas bonus

I’ve never checked the designs of the coins before so just had a look through the jar -

2 x Abolition of the Slave Trade
1 x Britannia
1 x WW1
1 x DNA

Really interesting, will take more notice of the designs in the future
