Hi, I just wanted to ask what the general consensus was regarding the rarer £2 coins in circulation? Are they worth keeping or trying to flog for a small profit? I have a great fire of London coin which is quite high up the rarity index but I watched one recently on an internet auction and it only reached £3.20 with free postage - hardly seems worth it!


I've also got a Brunel Paddington Station but apparently they're common.

Trying to cut down on using cash this year but have saved up £8 so far.

No specific usage in mind may be Christmas or pay for car tax/service due in November.

Doing a little better this year, managed to be ruthless and cunning so I'm on £18.

(For ruthless and cunning, read 'carefully plan shopping / petrol buying to make sure the change is always more than £2' )
