I assume thats the day you would normally be paid so in fact you don't miss out on anything?0 -
Some people due to get paid on the 28th may find that the payment is in their bank on Saturday 23 (and similarly for the following week Saturday 30 if benefit is due on Tuesday 2 January) - it depends on the bank and how the bank processes payments due on the next working day where there is a gap between working days.biggysmaller wrote: »i miss out on a pre xmas payment by one poxy day as I'm paid on the 28th!0 -
Why would you want your benefit early for anyway? You'll only have to wait longer for the next payment, which means your money will have to last longer. Makes no sense to me.biggysmaller wrote: »i miss out on a pre xmas payment by one poxy day as I'm paid on the 28th!0 -
yep getting it early is two edged, I'm paid by a University and December money went into my account last week instead of the 30th, because it's closed for a week next week. Which is fine but does mean my account feels artificially healthy for two weeks.0

Yes they do. Some offices are closed on 27 but most are open 28 & 29.
Oh and even though the office is closed on 27, it costs staff a days leave!0 -

In Northern Ireland, most banks and public office are closed 25/26/27 December. Never understood why.

I bank with the co-op bank - will that make a difference?
To those who say what difference does it make - well it will mean that I get to see to my family for Christmas!0
