This new account sounds great with 1.3% interest. But be aware that once you have put funds into this account just cant make any withdrawals for 8 calender days. This even applies if you transfer funds from another post office account. And their customer service is rubbish.

1Foz have you noticed how long it takes for funds deposited to NS&I via debit card to be available to withdraw.

I opened an account over the weekend and made a deposit but although it showed in the balance, it was not showing as available and still isn't today.

EDIT: I asked NS&I and it takes SEVEN working days for debit card deposits to clear.
