I'm thinking of maybe doing a couple of trials.. can anyone recommend companys in london? I've searched google but unsure what's genuine and what's not and obviously don't want to give my details without knowing. Many Thanks0

I've been looking into this for a while, but I have no idea what sites are the real deal, I tried signing up with Biotrax, but all I get is an email in my junk folder saying it couldn't be processed etc. If anyone has any links etc for places I can sign up for trials in the Midlands/Worcestershire I'd be very grateful.0

I've got through the initial bit for Biotrax and I'm now waiting for a phone call to arrange an appointment for a blood test. It's for a new flu' trial but apart from that I don't know much further other than it's over the next 3 months.0

Hmm this seems interesting. I'm a student leaving london in 4 weeks. I would love to earn some extra spending money. How can I find medical trials that less then 4 weeks?0

Had the phone call and I'm off to Camden Town next tuesday where they'll answer any questions I have. They also do the blood test at the same time to check I don't currently have any viruses, then if that's ok it's all systems go.0

How'd it go mikeh2000?
I'm moving to uni in just over a month, going to have to leave my current job so taking part would be really helpful in going towards tuition fees and living costs until I can get another job when I get to uni. Tried signing up on Biotrax but I just get an error message saying email couldn't be sent, anyone else getting any luck with trials recently?0 -
I'm currently doing my first trial in London and I must say it has been a fantastic experience so far! I go in for 5 lots of 2-night stays and in the end will earn £2600. I work full-time and find that this is the best time off to truly just RELAX! That is pretty much all you can do anyway.
I have been recommending these highly to all my friends. As to the risks I think it is a no-brainer! Yes, things could go wrong...but I'm sure that it is actually more dangerous getting to the clinic from my home in Brighton than it is being in a hospital under close medical supervision taking a highly researched drug. I'm using the time to do some artwork, watch some documentaries and undo my chronic sleep debt (a killer in itself!).
I wish you a great time if you decide to go on one!0 -
Hello Bristanshire, I am very interested in participating in a medical trial especially one as nicely paid as the one you are taking part in. I've registered my interests on quite a few but I'm not having much response. Would it be prying of me to ask where you found out about your trial? thanks for any tips, I am really anxious to raise cash but, like you, work full-time and don't particularly want to exhaust myself getting a second job waiting tables or behind a bar in the evenings...
thanks

Is it possible to do 2 or 3 trials in 3 months ? I know a friend who has done some trails and he said it was fine, but he said you have to wait 3 months untill you can do another trial in the UK.
He also said its 1 month in America and you can do another if you wanted. Can anyone confirm this ? If America have a 1 month wait and then you can do another there shouldnt be any problems with your health etc. (i know the risks vary from each trial)
I ask this because im currently saving to go traveling and if i could do 2 or 3 trials quickly then i could be off instead of slowly saving.
Cheers

Afraid its 3 month minimum between trials - whenever you take part in one your details will be submitted to TOPS (The Over-Volunteering Prevention System), they take details of when you are screened and when your were dosed if you take part in the trial.
Hope that helps0
