Can one claim compensation for a coach journey which was cancelled without notice???
my 2130 coach from London Victoria to Nottingham was cancelled at 2150 with a few curt words telling me to contact customer services.
My wife and I were left stranded.
This was Sunday 10 Dec, with the snow and the weather was bad, no doubt.
Customer services were unable to deal with the volume of calls and my battery died after several hours of waiting.
I contacted them by email on 11 Dec and have still not had a reply.
Is there anyone out there with a definitive answer to this situation????
thanking you in advance

Sorry this forum is for flight delays/cancellations, as the title states.....If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
The alleged Ringleader.........0 -
There are no similar rules for coaches, only planes trains and ferries. It is therefore dependent on the coach companies own terms and conditions. Having said that , if the sole reason for the cancellation was snow, you wouldn't be getting compensation for a delayed flight either, but they would have a duty of care to look after you. I very much doubt a coach fare of a few pounds would encourage National Express to pay for hotels but you can check the conditions and see.0
