I registered with Money4Space .com over a month ago. I got a confirmation email but have heard nothing since. When I emailed them to ask if I had been successful in my application I again got no reply.
Total waste of time, I wouldn't bother.0 -
what do you charge for seperate panels to getr more ads on the car?0

This is a great idea!!
My boyfriend is going back to his old job soon as a Private Hire driver in Liverpool and he is interested in doing this. He has a pretty big car, a Ford Galaxy and will obviously spend a LOT of time on the road, including plenty of time going to various airports.
We are definitely going to do this ourselves.
Thanks!!! Good luck everyone else who tries it.0 -
The money4space website has pictures of 2 cars I actually done the work on while working for a sign writing company in their gallery. I know for a fact that these were not done through this company as I dealt directly with the clients at the time. I wonder if they have permission to use the photos as advertising.0

Hi All, I'm a newbie on here. I am hopefully getting a van soon and aside from my own business name I am going to ask one particular company if they'd like a prime spot on the van. Thay'll be the only other advertiser on the van but I have no idea what to charge them. Any advice I'd be really grateful, thank you, Kay0

Hi all im a newbie to :j If I was to do this advertising i would personally charge around £300 - £500 a year to start with, and i would also try and keep the companies im advertising in the same kind of market. For Example... If i was Electrician with my own van with name etc i would be applyling to the businesses which are involved with electrics... Cheap electrical supplies etc This also could help you out with your supplier and get cheaper deals or you could market each others companies so you have 2 vans with your name on instead of one and all you would pay would be the application of graphics unless you advertised them of course
Just think about it......0 -

Hi,
I have recently set up a new business and as part of the advertising drive (pardon the pun) I would like to pay people to have an in car static cling sticker in their rear window (non vinyl and non permanent). The sticker can be re-used and does not mark the bodywork or windows.
I am searching for 7 volunteers to display the stickers in their vehicles. I am trying to contact people in Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast who may be interested (one person in each city). Different locations will be considered though. There is no long term contract or ongoing commitment. I would require the person to have the sticker in their car for four months. After the four months we can discuss whether you would like to continue displaying the sticker in your car. At the end of the period the person no longer needs to have the sticker displayed and can remove it without any problem - and no marks (it's just a normal car sticker).
Probably suited to university students, but anyone who is looking to earn some easy extra income is welcome to contact me for further information.
If you are interested and want to ask any questions, send me a private message on moneysavingexpert.

Ste - I am by no means an expert on this, but having looked into advertising on cars a while back I can give a little bit more information.
1) Magnetic signs -
Advantages -
Can be removed easily by yourself as and when you want the magnetic sign to appear on your car.
Are relatively cheap to purchase
Can be made to look striking and colourful
Disadvantages -
Like the first point is an advantage, this can be a massive disadvantage - i.e. what's to stop people taking the sign off your car when parked if you decide to leave it on or forget about it? You have paid the money and could have the sign stolen easily at any time.
From what I remember, the sign is prone to coming off the car at high speeds. If you do a lot of motorway travel for instance a magnetic sign is not that great as the sign could detach from the car! The speed threshold is around 70mph I believe.
Stickers -
It depends whether you are talking about vinyls (i.e. painted on the car) or cling stickers - like the ones I have put in my previous post. Vinyls are colourful and can really get a message across BUT there have been some issues with leaving marks on the car once removed (see below). The procedure to remove is not foolproof and can be quite laborious. Also once removed they cannot be reused. Cling stickers (which I opted for) tend to lack the punch of a magnetic sign or vinyl BUT can be reused, can't be stolen (without physically breaking into the car), can still convey a clear message if you use the correct font size and colour. Also I think about general use of a car in my opinion is that a sticker in the rear view window of a car will be seen more times than a vinyl painted down the side of car - but that's just my opinion. Prices differ between the two (vinyl and cling), I was quoted a higher price on vinyl than cling by some businesses, and vice versa by other businesses.
2) Paint fading –
This can be a problem. I have not experienced this personally but looking on the internet there are stories of people removing the vinyl and leaving a mark. I am sure there may be ways round this – but as mentioned above the process can be very delicate and laborious. If I remember correctly one common method says you should heat some water (not boiling) and use a razorblade to remove the vinyl – do you really want to do that?
I am not clear on points 3 and 4 what you are doing with the stickers/signs/vinyls. If you elaborate a bit more that would help
3) How much should I charge?
4) What to include in a 12 month contract?
Feel free to correct any of the information above. Like I said I am not expert on this, this is just a mix of my experience and/or opinion.0 -
i think the most importent question for me is. anyone have a contract laying around that i could use as a template as i hae no idea where to start with that but the rest i am figure out for myself i thinknew....be kind0
