Tesco half Leg and Lamb offer

We have been into our local main Tesco store this morning and they are out of stock of the half leg of lamb at the offer price of £5. We asked at customer service desk who said they could not reserve one for us as they did not know whether any further supplies of this item would arrive before Christmas. an assistant manager came over and phoned two other stores for me but neither had any in stock. The assistant manager said they had received several other similar inquiries from customers and added there was nothing they could do to help He was most apologetic and agreed it was very unsatisfactory situation but was probably due to the suppliers. He suggested we spoke with Head Office lodging with them our displeasure at the situation.
