I need to earn some extra money so i can get married! 9 years on and still cant afford it!!
So if anyone wants any ironing done in the Llanelli area or a cleaner please let me know0 -
Thinking of maybe doing some ironing around Ashington/Morpeth Northumberland, and could put up flyers where I work which is on a big new business park.
We've got a spare (not very big) room where I could do it, but problem is, my b/f smokes so would have to be careful not to let the smell get onto anything... hopefully if keep everything in the 'ironing room' and keep him well out of it, should be ok? Also keep a big bottle of Febreeze handy!
...or is this just a bad idea?Proud to be dealing with my debts! :TLightbulb moment June 2008
This is my timey-wimey detector.
It goes ding when there's stuff.0 -
I'm toying with the idea of this. Esp when little man starts pre-school, so I'll have a couple of hours each day to concentrate on things.
Can I suggest advertising on your local netmums, to everyone? Also start a facebook group - it will be cheaper than a website in the beginning.0 -
Hi all,
I would be interested in helping an exisiting ironing service in the sheffield area if it is of interest. I am looking to do up to 10 hours worth of work a week. Let me know if this would be helpful.
thanks,0 -
I've just been made redundant and this sound like a good idea.
Has anyone found that there isn't much demand because of the recession?
Stratford isn't really that posh, but so many people hate ironing that it seems like a good way round the problem of not having any work...0 -
Would like to start doing this as a hobby for extra cash as i have been made redundant.
anyone in the wolverhampton area that needs this service??:)0 -
I've just started off taking a few people I know ironing in so far.. It's going ok, I'm charging by the basket, £10 for a basket delivered and collected, whcih I think is cheap. Takes about an hour usually.
I've not got the time to advertise much further afield at the moment, but have already had a few requests from friend's of the original few, so it looks as though the requirement is there.0 -
Pirate fairy - I charge 25.00/basket collected and delivered, some people load it up for example i have 1 here that has 21 shirts + bedding :cool:You know your getting old when yougo to the pub sit outsideand admire the hanging basket

Hi, I'm in the process of starting up an ironing service in Norfolk in the Potter Heigham & surrounding villages area. I have read this forum and learnt so much from you all, thank you. Lots of little things I hadn't even thought of. I've posted on some of the free online ad sites but as yet not had any replies. So if there is anyone near me who needs some help, don't hesitate to contact me ! With all these holiday properties near me, surely someone needs a hand ?!?!?!0
