I've just joined PanelBase and I'm wondering how often they send out the surveys.
If they aren't very good, what are some decent sites?0 -
After approximately 3 months Opinium have finally paid me the £20, but they did not respond to any of my emails or offer any kind of explanation or apology, so not exactly a positive experience!0

Hi, I would like to up my income - money or vouchers is fine by me. I don't really know where to start and I am getting confused!
Could you guys maybe tell me how to get started - who is worth signing up to and how to sign up?! Also, how they pay? I wouldn't mind vouchers as it would ease xmas etc but cash is always handy. I am happy to put the hours in as long as the reward is worth the time. Does anyone know if you have to declare straight away your earnings or is it after you reach a certain level (like having a lodger?)
I hope you don't mind me asking. Many thanks to any suggestions!:pHappiness is wanting what you have...0 -

If you have any questions you can private message me. Hope this helps anyone thiking of signing up for any above sites..
I have had no problems with payouts except with toluna which seem to get here eventually..0 -
Hi All,
I've just come across all this so bare with the stupid questions!!!
As far as I understand it organisations send me surveys via email, I complete them, and then get paid...right??
However I'm not liking the idea of declaring this extra income as I hate paperwork....so If I only joined the organisations that paid with vouchers would this mean I don't have to declare this income??
If so which ones do the vouchers??
Daft I know but I'm not very bright!!! All advice greatfully received!!!

I've earnt a few thousand from doing surveys in the last few years.... although, to be honest, I don't get round to filling any of them in any more.
If you sign up for all the sites you can and keep doing them it does add up - and each individual person will need to decide what's the best ones for them.
It's a bit like clothes shops, every one is different. One person will love New Look, another one wouldn't touch it with a barge pole and would insist on Jacques Vert... while their neighbour only ever buys at Laura Ashley.
There's not one size fits all in these matters.0 -

Panelbase pays vouchers when you reach £10.
Onepoll pays cash I think at £40. It'll take a few months to get there but worth doing.
There's one called toluna too - I don't know much about that one - but you can sign up through onepoll not sure if you get bonus pennies for that.
Yougov pays cash when you reach £50 but it is quite possible to retrain in a new career by the time you reach payout I suspect. I still do it though because some of the surveys are pretty interesting.
Light speed you can convert to paypal £1 for each 115 points. Paypal charges 25p per withdrawal below £50. So £10 would give £9.75 in your account.
If you sign up for lightspeed (I think panelbase too iirc) through pigsback you get piggypoints. afaik you don't have to make a pigsback purchase to get a payout. Pigsback payout is at 1150 points giving £10. afaik this is vouchers. Beware some of the sites you reach through pigs back are notorious for spamming and selling details on so a spare email address is recommended.
There is also a search tool called mysearchfriends? pays out when you reach £10 too afaik. Searches must generally be unique - using repetitive or common searches eg amazon etc can get you bounced off.

Although You Gov takes a while to get ot the magic £50 mark I've also won a prize draw of £50 - so people really do win.
I rather like toluna as when I have time to regularly check the site I find I can clock quite a lot of extra points through the sponsored polls and registrations for trials. Also find they send a lot of surveys. Although I don't qualify for them all I still get through quite a lot. Little slow sending me the amazon voucher I just requested though...Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0 -

Well done on the yougov one.
Haven't tried toluna. Are they all vouchers? What's the pay out limit?0 -
Thank You! Wish I was as lucky with the old Premium Bonds! The Yougov one was funny because I'd been working abroad for a few weeks and had had no time to check my survey email. When I got home there was a cheque there! Having said that I've done Yougov on and off for 3 years and am only just approaching £50. It's my own fault because I do surveys in fits and starts. When work is really busy I just don't have the energy to sit through the surveys in the evening when I get in.
Toluna tends to be vouchers. To be honest I've always claimed HMV vouchers until recently. This time I've opted for Amazon and am drumming my fingers waiting for it to arrive. I don't know if this is typical for Toluna and Amazon but HMV have always arrived really quickly. There's also Sainsburys vouchers.
60,000 points get you a £10 Amazon voucher or £10 Sainsburys voucher. Alternatively, 60,000 points can also get you a £12 voucher for CD Wow, HMV or Halfords. There are also discount vouchers for various other companies but I have to say they are pretty uninspiring. I hadn't heard of half of them. It's not too difficult to get 60,000 points if you log on each day and make sure you've taken part in any sponsored polls, enrolled in product tests and of course do every survey they throw at you.Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0
