Is it true that Pinecone only allow mainland UK people to join, and not if you're in Northern Ireland? I'd like to join them, but there are a few survey companies that don't seem to be interested in the opinions of UK residents on this side of the Irish Sea.. :-(

Sorry for quoting myself :o , but I'd like to join Pinecone and don't have kids. Can anyone give me a referral link- it would be very much appreciated.

Just got my first reward from Pinecone - £4 of luncheon vouchers....better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick I guess!

I don't use the vouchers, but opt for the instant paypal instead.;)

Can people who have been with pinecone for a while let me know how many household questions they have completed compare to paid surveys recently.

Mine have gone silly - I have completed 9 household questions to 1 paid survey in the last 2 months. Before this I could answer on the fingers of one hand how many household questions I had, I would get 1 paid survey on average evry month to six weeks.

I think they are getting our answers for free. Although I have noticed they put at the bottom of the email now if you want to opt out - that never used to be there!

I've had the same experience with Pinecone over the past couple of months.

I've also found the same thing happening with other online survey companies - a distinct drop in the number/frequenecy of surveys and/or the value of rewards on offer (most noticeably with Ciao).

I would assume this is linked to the downturn in the economy. Hopefully, when the economy picks up again in a couple of years time, things will return to normal. Until that happens, I'm limiting myself to surveys that continue to offer a decent reward. There is no way I'm going to spend 20 minutes completing a survey for 10p or entry into some prize draw (where the odds of winning are likely to be miniscule).
  • Hello everyone, I would appereciate a referal to Pinecone if thereis one available. Thanks alot. I am new to surveys, fingers crossed

I've been with Pinecone since they started and had numerous surveys, also several household products to test. Thought I was on to a real winner. However, over the past 9 months the surveys have got less and less, and presently have fizzled out completely. There seems to be no chance of doing testing any more. I really enjoyed their site, and got on really with Pinecone staff. Don't know what has happened. I even opted to carry on with the vouchers as I really enjoyed treating people to Starbucks Coffee!!
