Aol is offering me their phone deal at £7.99 all incl. I am an all in user so am not interested in the pre dial companies for Uk calls. Anyone tried the switch? I believe it's the cheapest, I am with Tele2 at present, so is it worth the change.?

Depends on how much you are paying at the moment to Tele2? For most people who use 18866/1899 coupled with free calls via Onetel or TalkTalk its not really a consideration.
Have a look at Martin's post regarding the AOL offer.

I pay £9.99 a month. The 1866 option is no good for me as there are too many users in the house. Theywould not be disciplied enough to pre dial so I would end up paying more. So 7.99 is better. Just wondered if anyone has changed and how it wentNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0

If you make more than 497* such telephone calls every month (about 16 every day), you've made a good choice but, if you already use AOL for your internet their offer will save you £2 a month while the price is held (12 months).
* the number of calls at 2p each you could make for £9.95 using call18866.co.uk (the AOL price of £7.99 equates to about 400 calls on call18866.co.uk).N9eav wrote:I pay £9.99 a month. Why not use some of the £24 you will save over the next 12 months to buy an Orchid dialler - you'll then be in a better position to make a decision next year?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
The discount for MSE users on the Orchid dialer has been increased to 20% if you are ordering via their online shop0

I know the figures. If it was just me then I would use the pre-dial. But my kids can call 10 people after school in 15 minutes!NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0
