Hard to say without knowing more about your pics. Have you any on a site that can be viewed? Do you specialise in anything? What camera do you use?
Whatever the answers, selling pics online is unlikely to produce a quick income, it needs to be seen as a long term job.

Selling photos is a long term job.

You talk about the worth of good photos as dollars PER YEAR. I have friend who talks about the worth of his images as dollars PER DECADE.

To make about a thousand pounds a year with photos, expect to have about 3000 high quality, creative, SALEABLE images online with a good library.

With respect, I'm not sure that these are really stock photos, more like snapshots. They are not thoughtfully composed with interesting subjects, nor are they sympathetically post processed.

Just stumbled across this thread. As someone who enjoys taking photos, I was thinking about selling some online.
I have some good cameras at my disposal, mainly a Sony A200 & a Fuji S5700 (now replaced with an S5800).
I signed-up to Alamy a while back, but have yet to up-load any photos to it as as I'm not sure how popular the site is.

I had heard of 'Flickr' before, but most of the other sites mentioned were unknown to me before I visited this thread.
I tend to photograph anything, and everything.
    Never Knowingly Understood.

    Member #1 of £1,000 challenge - £13.74/ £1000 (that's 1.374%)

    3-6 month EF £0/£3600 (that's 0 days worth)

    Have a look at
