Trying to sell photographs online, which sites are best as I am saving like mad for a road trip fund and desp for some quick sales through my work. I take professional photos as a hobby at the moment so I know I have at least a little potential to sell some of my work?? Help!!

Hard to say without knowing more about your pics. Have you any on a site that can be viewed? Do you specialise in anything? What camera do you use?
Whatever the answers, selling pics online is unlikely to produce a quick income, it needs to be seen as a long term job.0 -

Selling photos is a long term job.
You talk about the worth of good photos as dollars PER YEAR. I have friend who talks about the worth of his images as dollars PER DECADE.
To make about a thousand pounds a year with photos, expect to have about 3000 high quality, creative, SALEABLE images online with a good library.0 -

With respect, I'm not sure that these are really stock photos, more like snapshots. They are not thoughtfully composed with interesting subjects, nor are they sympathetically post processed.0 -

Just stumbled across this thread. As someone who enjoys taking photos, I was thinking about selling some online.
I have some good cameras at my disposal, mainly a Sony A200 & a Fuji S5700 (now replaced with an S5800).
I signed-up to Alamy a while back, but have yet to up-load any photos to it as as I'm not sure how popular the site is.
I had heard of 'Flickr' before, but most of the other sites mentioned were unknown to me before I visited this thread.
I tend to photograph anything, and everything.Never Knowingly Understood.

Have a look at

to see a small sample of pictures sold by Alamy.0
