No keys worked but the fan worked

I cashed it now there is nothing not even the fan but the on/off button keeps fashing

I have tried removing the battery and holding the on button but still nothing happens.

    Hi,

    Have you tried

    1) reseating the memory modules.

    2) a hard reset

Remove the battery and unplug the DC power adapter.
press and hold the power button for more than fifteen seconds.
plug in the DC power adapter (leave the battery out for now)
    press the power button

This morning I have replaced the battery & plugged power supply back in.

On pressing on button it now powers up and fan going quiet fast but nothing come up on screen and hard drive does not appear to be rattling away.

    Anymore ideas?

Found this today on HP website, also check to see if your model as been recalled, my 2007 hp pavilion had the CPU and GPU designed next to each other which made the laptop overheat, and they where recalled for a free fix but I did not know at the time, I found out a good laptop design has CPU one side and GPU the other side of laptop to reduce overheating

Hello, i solved the problem ,its the motherboard. All the g6 series have the same problem both AMD and the INTEL socket tipe.the problem is caused with overheating..i dont know why hp dont make a fix for this problem.the fix should reduce the processor voltage by 0.5v and turn up the fan RPM..Anyway the problem can only be solved by changing the motherboard because its the video chip damage.

By some miracle the computer is now working again.

    I have replaced the battery

    And

I have removed the memory strips and put memory from another machine then replaced original ones.

I suspect the memory had just become unseated in some way.
