Thanks for your replies.
teezie - thanks, yes I have checked this as well.
Heng Leng - I will giv this a go, but when will delete the APN settings or remove sim, then the phone will become just an internet browser.
Won’t be able to call unless with skype.
As for 3 - I switched from them. 10’s of unsolicited messaged daily, calls from scam companies, even from a bank asking why I do not pay back a loan and if I am mr Billy whoever...
Inhave not tried O2 yet, although used them years ago and everything seemed to be fine then. But this was in times of no smartphones.
The funny thing is that I am sure that no mobile data is being used. Or any calls made. On the usage clock I have 3.5 MB data used between 26th November and now... So really do not get how is it possible that I am being charged?
I will be contactinh them again to get this resolved and will update this thread when will get anywhere.0 -

First things first. Which phone is it? I ask this because some handsets have smart network switching , which will turn mobile data back on if the WiFi is too weak and vice-versa. If your handset has this it can be switched off in settings.
Secondly, find out what app is using the data (eg Skype, WhatsApp). On an Android phone you'll either find this under data usage or in Apps/App Manager (under each app).
You also need to consider that something else had caused the top-up to disappear. For example, accidental pack purchase, SMS etc.
Finally, your usage is unusual as there seems to be little or no use of the actual network. It's possible that you've not made a call or text in so long, that they've started the process of deactivating your account.
For light network use, you might find the overall cost is less on a £3 or £5 monthly tariff or a lower cost pay as you go.0 -

Hardly Three's fault that a debt skipper previously had the number.
Same problem often with landlines. What we need is an extra digit (or preferably two) in numbers so they can be unused for a reasonable time after use.0
