If you want an OS of that generation then 98SE is a better bet.

I found ME was a total waste of the £50 it cost me.

An MDSN + Visual studio subscription from Microsoft gives you everything back to something like MS-DOS 6.2 (downloads of the installers and valid licences)

Probably the only legitimate way to get ME nowadays

Why, oh why, oh why?! Windows ME is best forgotten.

I'd look at either Windows 98SE or XP depending on your reasons. Either would be better than ME.

I tried win ME. oh my the memory management was awful.

Leave the computer running and icons turned grey as it failed to clear the memory of unused applications and tasks.

Awful OS. The ONLY postive thing about it was the desktop colour, everyone copied that to their win 98 themes and even onto win XP.
