It’s an easy way to declutter a PC, often resulting in faster performance. No cost and easy to use.
What's wrong with running disk cleanup to remove temporary files and uninstalling any unnecessary software? You can achieve the same result.

The above leaves behind temporary files and can leave errors in the registry. Programs like Bleachbit do a very good cleanup and as they are free and easy to install/use, what’s not to like?

And these 'registry errors' cause what issues?

Probably de-installing programs, both Ccleaner and Bleachbit find errors in the registry

Registry bloat and machine slowdown. Not helped by poorly written installers//uninstallers that do not record all the places they have put stuff to enable it to be removed automatically.

Although Win 10 is lot better at keeping the registry clean than Win 7 it still ignores a lot of orphaned entries which is where the likes of cCleaner comes into its own

I have never "cleaned" my registry same as i have never "boosted" my drivers

"registry bloat" has never caused my machine to slow down

So you can't state any issues then. Orphan entries in the registry do not cause problems. 'Registry cleaning' can cause problems if the wrong entries are deleted in error. The registry only needs to be edited if there is a specific issue that can't be fixed another way. This is rare.

I'm not sure if cleaning out redundant Registry entries and unnecessary files makes too much difference to performance. W.10 starts quickly and runs smoothly on my computer but maybe that as much down to the processor, RAM and SSD as much as anything.

Then again, it might be partly because I run PrivaZer once in a while. I think a lot of comparative 'clean/not clean' tests would have to be done to decide if it definitely made a difference to speed or anything else. I've been using PrivaZer for about 18 months and cleaning hasn't caused any harm so far.
Error! - Keyboard not attached. Press any key to continue.

People who understand how the OS uses the registry will know that redundant or orphan keys make absolutely no difference to the performance of the machine.

When your temp folder gets large and you are short of disk space, empty it - easy

Further reading because im tired of explaining away all these snake oil programs recently
