DVLA penalty notice for car tax, and change of address

I wonder if anyone can give advice on the following.
Today I received a letter from a company called Pastdue for a penalty notice of £80 for not paying car tax. I've checked my car on the DVLA website and it is correct and my car tax is over due.
I've changed address and as such I never received any notification for car tax in the post, my previous address was a family address (thats still owned in family) and I also had a post office mail redirect in place, however nothing was received.
Obviously i'm going to have to deal with this Monday, but wanted some advice as how to proceed, at this point i'm more concerned about the car registered in wrong address and any extra consequences due to this.
I don't have the V5 to send off as it's been lost in house move. Also the reason I've got in this situation is someone died in my family and I was executor of a very stressful estate, in 20 years of driving I've never had this happen before and quite honest feel a bit silly about it.
If anyone could give any advice, or had a similar situation I would be most grateful.

If you haven't got any paperwork to tax it online now, get it off the road before it's ckamped.0

Warwich Hunt, thanks for your reply, it's on a private drive at the moment, off the road.0

So pay the tax asap

I'm afraid that's all irrelevant. It's your responsibility to pay the tax you owe.

Inform DVLA of your current address asap.
I don't have the V5 to send off as it's been lost in house move.
Request a replacement V5 from DVLA asap.

Hi G_M, I agree with everything you said above and will contact DVLA on Monday to pay tax etc.
My main concern was the address issue, and if I get into more trouble.0 -

It's unlikely unless you've been caught speeding.0 -
Hi
In addition to what has been stated.
Please also make sure your home address is correct on your driving license as wrong address is also an offence.0 -
Hi Pem, driving licence had already been changed to correct address.0

Update!
You won't believe just found my V5C, I thought it was lost but just discovered in a file between papers.
Now what should I do, should I just go ahead and try and tax on-line, or contact them on Monday.0 -
Should be able to tax it online with the V5 BUT you will have to pay from the date your tax expired. PLUS you will still probably have to pay the £80 penalty.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0

Plus the OP will need to keep their fingers crossed they haven't been snapped on the roads untaxed by the DVLA network of ANPR cameras or they could face double trouble.0
