Unrecognised transactions from gellmedia.com on my Creation MC

Does anybody know gellmedia.com?

I have transactions of $29.99 billed as £23.62 and $2.99 billed as £2.24 on my Creation MasterCard account. It seems to be some sort of monthly subscription.

I don't know them. I checked their website and they have my details. I'm sure that I didn't sign up with them, especially as I NEVER use a non-Sterling mandate on a card that charges non-Sterling conversion fees!

I left an enquiry on their website and reported the info to Creation who will investigate.

Grateful for your thoughts.

  • As long as you have notified the cc company then i would think no more of it they should do a chargeback to the company to recover the funds.

    No.

Funnily enough I have an e-mail today ostensibly from apple.com telling me my account is suspended and inviting me to re-activate, using an e-mail address different from the one I use with Apple.

    I fear the worst. :(
  • My wife subscribes to a running magazine, the DD used to show as ‘Women’s Running’. While checking our account, I noticed a DD for ‘Debit Collections’ which I didn’t recognise. When I rang them up they told me they were now collecting the subscriptions for the mag. No correspondence from the original company, it just changed, which is pretty bad form.
    Could yours be something similar?
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

    Hi, Steve.

I don't think so, but will get back to the company if they haven't responded by tomorrow (i.e. after the weekend).
