I wasn't checking up on him. The money came out of our joint account so I saw the transaction!
I would be inclined to believe your husband as what kind of a t1t would use the joint account if he was planning to cheat? If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -

Someone who forgot their PayPal was defaulted to the joint account and should have clicked to change which account would be charged. I often forget to change the account being charged when I don't want the one PayPal is defaulted to.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
So op has he reported this fraudulent transaction to PayPal and changed the password?0

I'd have a conversation without getting angry or accusatory. If he did do it, its better he admits it and you work out any issues. Even if he did do it, you can still save your marriage and live a long happy life together if you want to. Some people are very reactionary. You may have an argument and immediately turn to a box of chocolates where as the next person might contact an ex or go on a dating site! Maybe to prove they are still attractive to someone or because they don't feel appreciated. Doesn't mean they have or even are are planning to cheat.
Sorry that didn't answer your question! My understanding is for an email to come to your husband he or someone else has obviously used that email address. Someone hacked our Netflix account! You only have to google and there is a list of email addresses and passwords so people, can take over other accounts. Have you checked the dating website? Is it in the history?0 -

The history on Paypal will tell you dates on transaction etc
so has he reported it or not ?
If he has signed up then he is not the sharpest tool in the box if it comes out of a joint account so would guess there will be some other incriminating evidence elsewhere ..Mobile phone ? History on pc ?
Do you know the dating site he has signed up to ?
If so have you checked if he is there ,Don`t know how they work so unsure if you can checkHave a nice day0 -
Join the same dating site and then arrange a date with him through the site.
You could fall in love all over again.0 -
Search all your emails for the amount taken (or the name of site, although that possibly won't be exactly what paypal mentioned in the email). See if anything turns up - you may have missed the email, especially if it did have a different payee name to the dating site.
Search the site for him (if you can do it without joining). You have the area, his age (unless he's lied) and prob other details you can filter.
Another thing to consider - are you sure it's women? He's not gay or anything and either in denial or worried sick you'll find out? Just a thought! It's how my ex's colleague found out about her husband!2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
Many years ago I had money come out of a joint account for a dating site, it was a dodgy site non uk one. Wife had a few questions obviously, turned out tho it was paid for with her card! After contacting the bank it turned out her card had been cloned.
Odd use for it, but it does happen!0 -

Thank you all for your replies.
He says he has reported it to paypal. I haven't asked for proof as I don't want to be someone asking him to prove stuff all the time but with this I will. I have been putting it off as it isn't a good time of year to cause an explosion in your marriage when you have a child.0
