I simply don't understand.
I have used Martins Credit Club, TotallyMoney, Equifax, Experian, Noddle to check my score and all say i am in the GOOD green Rating
95% chance of a Santander Card (I bank with them) but refused.
Please can someone give a modicum of a suggestion why

The credit scores that the CRAs give you are fictional. Ignore them.
Lenders will view your credit files and use the data to decide whether to lend. They may feel you have too much available credit, too little history, too much debt, too low an income or are simply not their target market.0 -
Santander have changed their internal credit scoring.0

No 1 on here can give you a suggestion as to why you were rejected.
Secondly your credit score is neither here nor there since no lenders see it.0 -
December is the worst time to apply for a credit card for obvious reasons. Not that they dont want you to spend money but banks set aside a ceiling limit to what can lend a month to new card holders. If there is a surge of applicants (ie in December) then they will raise there own internal score to reject a few more so they keep within their allocated allowance.
Plus factor in they are picky anywhere then dont be disheartened. Find another card with a high percent acceptance and go for it.0 -
Your credit scores are only there to make things easy for you to understand. This is a score only visible to you and no-one else. So your credit file is good.. how about the information you provided them with on your application? Is it correct? Is it riddled with inaccuracies? And then do you fit their criteria? Only they will know what their criteria is. Best thing to do is write to their credit department to ask them to re-review the decision and they will be able to advise you accordingly0
