I dont know how to fly a plane or what the signs in the cockpit mean, but I trust the "drivers" (pilots ie:- the captain and first officer) to know that if they say put the seatbelt on, I must do so for reasons unknown to me
    +1.

It just gets so exasperating, that those who can’t yet ride a tricycle, think they know how to bring an aeroplane in to land!

What's the date of the parking event day, and was there a PCN on the car? When?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It says the offence happened a month ago
    - but it’s the first letter I actually recieved. Hence the panic. No pnc on the windscreen of the car.
They state: An appeal can be accepted in writing within 28 days of the issue of the PCN.
I’ll be honest with you all... I don’t fancy receiving debt collection bills through the post.
It will just bug me to more worry.
I know most will say just ignore them... and nothing will ever become of it.
    But will I get blacklisted?
One person says ‘come back on here if you get court letters’ INSTANT PANIC THERE!
Until I realised he actually meant it won’t get to that stage.

You stress unnecessarily over debt collectors letters. They won't bite. They are toothless!

But you are mistaken about Court correspondence.

Creditors have six years to start legal proceedings and there is a possibility of thid

Hello LaaLaaLady - welcome to Mse.
Posting here is the best thing you've done re: the alleged parking incident.

Don't call it a 'fine': it isn't and never could be.

Private parking scumpanies cannot issue fines.
(Only HM Police and London Transport personnel can do that.)

You have received an unenforceable invoice.

You have also received accurate, up-to-date advice here, which still needs to be sensibly reread until absorbed.

Careful, accurate reading is always necessary, as with redx's #24.

Redx has nowhere said '...it will not come to this....'

None of us can know that this scumpany will NOT file a claim against you within the next 6 years.
This is not written to frighten you. It is simply unknown at present.

Repeat: Please settle to careful, accurate reading.

Hence what panic? The first letter is the NTK. And this is not an 'offence' and nor will you be paying a penny.

What's the problem; you are still in the appeal window and Britannia don't sue people. Just follow the info in the NEWBIES thread and then await your POPLA code (and read post #3 of the NEWBIES thread in the meantime).
