Awake at 4.40am today...I've no idea what is wrong with my body clock but I either need to fix it or get used to it and become more productive!
The dress I bought for my black tie evening arrived yesterday and it fits. It'll do and I'm sure I'll have a lovely time, but like a true introvert, I'm already trying to think of excuses not to go
Moll you can't go wrong with a list or 10. They focus the mind
I've only done one list in my project book so far. I need some time to think and plan. Could be something for these 4.30am starts I'm currently having!
Okay, confession time...I've been on the amazon wish list and bought a load of my wish items. The money is in savings but it seems once I start spending then I'm on a roll.0 -
Morning
I felt awful yesterday, really down. I think I might need to invest in some vitamin D and a SAD lamp for the winter.
I've had notifications that my amazon purchases have been dispatched so I'm looking forward to that.
Another 3am wake up this morning, though I did get back to sleep eventually and woke to my alarm at 6am. I think I feel worse for it though. And I'm out this evening so caffeine will be needed otherwise I'll be falling asleep in my dinner!
I'm off work tomorrow and heading down to Bath for the weekend. I'm sure I'll enjoy it once I'm there but I'm feeling a little peopled out and like I'm not getting enough time to plan and organise myself.
Still no heating on here. I can't decide whether it's just incredibly mild or I'm being incredibly stubborn.0 -

evening all.
Tonight me and the partner played uno with the eldest when the littlies had gone to bed.
Tomorrow morning we have eldests class assembly . After that we are coming home and I'm going to do some ebay/fb listing before I head off to work.
The weekend I've arranged free activities for the Saturday as I have the day off. One set of activities for dry weather and one set for wet weather.
Sunday I'm at work in the afternoon but have some free activities for the morning.
My plan between now and the new year Is too fill our weekends with free activities. Making as much use as possible with our national trust pass. And free play parks we have locally. We will take a picnic for all outings Or have brunch before we leave so we don't have to spend money on food and drink when out.
Half term will be filled with lots of free activities too.
We are doing OK on the frugal front. But between now and next year I plan to do even better. Going to try and source some extra work hours from somewhere across next year.
I need to get my car sorted to sell. Going to take it tomorrow to get a quote for a respray as it has been damaged across two of the doors. I was not impressed. We have now installed CCTV so hopefully it won't happen again.
Anyone have any handmade gift ideas I could do with the kids. I'm thinking of getting some nice family photos done for the grandparents.might make mince pies for the families and some fudge or chocolates. Or maybe put together a mug cake mix in mugs for the kids... I need something that won't cost a lot..
I have a few birthdays left before the end of the year. And obviously Xmas. Hoping to sell my car before the insurance needs renewing.
My aim is too be debt free and start my house deposit saving by January.June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460 -

FrankieM Sorry to hear youve been feeling a bit down, I know you are in my area, and its been mild weather for us , We have only needed the heating on some evenings, and never in the day , so weve been lucky than some in other parts of the Country, Today its been nice and sunny, so hopefully its helped you to feel a bit brighter xx0
-
Thank you Mollxx
Feeling much better today after what ended up being a great night. So much laughing
And it's sunny today and I'm off work so I've been getting some washing done and enjoying the sun0 -
Morning everyone,
Hope everyone is well, sending hugs to those that under the weather.
I am looking forward to a nice frugal weekend at home. I plan on:
- getting a couple of loads of washing done and on the line, as there is no rain forecast
- mowing the lawn and raking leaves
- putting my marigolds on and cleaning the windows outside
- make a nice soup and put some lentils in to thicken it up
- relax with a good book and blanket in front of the fire
My spend tracker is up to date, and it's highlighting my weaknesses. My numbers are definitely moving in the right direction though. Credit card paid off before the 0% rate ran out! Now to put the extra payments in to the car loan.
Feeling motivated right now! This has given me the boost to be sensible about Christmas.
I- already have an agreement with a few family members, presents only for children.
-Promised my OH that I won't buy any more Christmas decorations. I normally buy one nice a year for the tree and remove/get rid of a value one.
-Not going to stockpile endless snack food as we end up eating it all, with visitors never eating as much as we expect. We don't waste it, but it's not good when we step on the scales!0 -
Today had its ups and downs. Took the dog for a walk and found a £5 on the path. No one about, so went into Tesco and used it to buy stuff for the food bank. Felt very virtuous! Husband popped to Argos to pick up something for work, and somehow, while he was standing in the queue, he lost a £20 note. He said he pulled it out of his pocket to pay, it was in his hand, then it wasn't. He looked on the floor and emptied his pockets, money was gone.0

oh no clearancer sorry to hear about the lost £20 but that was a lovely thing you did for the food bank x0
