What to charge my boyfriend in rent?

Ideally I would rent to someone else, but parents say they would cover living expenses for me if that occurred until the increase in wages in 2 years. Is very unlikely though.
And I have got absolutely no idea in reality how much bills would come to, 2 bed terraced house, That number came from a probably very conservative guess from online sources. As stated was a very tricky to get morgage, can only JUST afford it.
Have you actually been given a mortgage offer or are you relying on online calculators?0 -
Mortgaging to the max and co-sharing with a new boyfriend, who has OCD/ASD ... well it doesn't sound like anything could go wrong there!0

Ahhh wonderful London, paying for a mansion while living in a rat hole where your almost guaranteed to get stabbed. :rotfl:0

Something makes no sense here. OP is on less than £25k (as 25k gives you about 2k and Im rubbish at maths)
So a maximum lend of roughly £125k, even if I push it to £150k for no reason.
On what PLANET is a mortgage like that £1100?? Mines £150k and like I said I pay £450!0 -
Boyfriend for 3 years I will have you know!

I got a mortgage at £123000 for under £600 a month at 1.8% interest rate, I earn £36k and had a deposit of £22k there is no way the OP is getting a mortgage that is £1100 earning only £25k0

I didn't mean your maths is off, just an example of the mortgage I got this year which was not much under my limit and I earn a lot more than the OP.0 -
Do you plan to not eat or pay council tax or water rates or electric?
I could believe £300 a month then!
I think my non food outgoings are around £600 fixed.0 -
Have a wage of 32000 in total, after tax and student and other totally essential costs it comes to around 1800 a month to use, and stated that as is whats relevant to bf issue. I have also rounded mortgage amount up. Had very large deposit due to inheritance and just made it.0
