Vape smoking?

obay said:So,
Just started using a vape after smoking for nearly 10-11 years, long time, around 15 per day £80-100 per week spent on smoking, just want to give it in.
The problem I have is that my friends have been on vapes for 5 years + I do not want to end up like this, I am currently on 6mg of nicotine and will push my self per month to get my self down from 6 to 3 then 1. Ie, a maximum time of 6 months to be on this thing.
How has it been for everyone to quit smoking the vape? I've always heard of people being addicted to smoking vape once they have finished smoking - has anyone got any personal experience of quitting smoking, then quitting the vape?
So save your money, look at the pictures of lung cancer patients and don't think it can't happen to you. I kidded myself for 40 years - I was lucky.
Actually, to me, vaping looks just as ridiculous and pointless as smoking does now.

I’ve been on a vape for 5 years. I’ve been down to 3mg for about 3 years but have struggled to get below this. I’ve managed to give up my vape 3 times for up to a few months but always end up going back to it. I’m hooked, I’d love to give it up but I’ve found it difficult and I don’t have a lot of willpower. I just enjoy it too much but I hate how much I rely on it.0

Don't do it! It's so bad for you and apparently the effects of Covid are way worse on vapers. Hope you can quit - sending good luck vibes!0

But would agree that coming off it altogether will be far healthier than just carrying on vaping. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
I am an addicted vaper since 3 years, please suggest me a good disposable vape bar brand because i donot find elfbar good enough to vape now. It has been very monotonous. My friend suggested me to buy an IVG bar so kindly suggest me if its good to go.1

I watched my little brother die a very horrible death from cancer and there was my motivation, right there. It took the cold/cough from hell to actually make me do it, but I did it and feel so much better for it. I have realised though that I’m definitely addicted to it and know I need to wean myself off it. I started off on 12mg but pretty quickly went down to 6mg. I’ve tried 3mg but can’t get on with it. I shall try again thoughI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. I smoked since I was 11 and now I'm 82. I tried a few times to give up and tried the vape but failed
2 heart attacks didn't stop me .
I gave up again 30th September and took to my vape, a pen size one, costs me about £5 a week
The reason I gave up was I couldn't afford £100 a week on cigs. Plus I had artery problems, my legs were hurting and I couldn't walk far. I promised my consultant I would stop if he cured it and he did, now I can walk 3 miles.
I was probably addicted to them but I don't really care because I am happy
Will I go back ? I don't know but I will try hard not to.0 -
i gave up with NHS help they sent me patches and sprays and counselling It took 2 months and was all done over the phone with their stop smoking campaign. I still use the sprays i have left over when i am driving long periods as sometimes get stressed. My hubby is still giving up and he uses various vape pens that they send him with sprays chewing gum and patches He is still on the highest level patch But has not smoked a cig since October.
