I am quite surprised by this - do GPs honestly advocate people being addicts nowadays?

You are not addicted to "smoking", you are a nicotine addict whether you think of yourself as one or not, it is what you are - are you deep down ok with that?.

Deep deep down? Yes I'm happy with vaping. My GP is happy I'm no longer smoking 30 a day and as I said previously, my health as can be measured is improving. My GP is probably even happier I'm not costing the NHS for BP checks and medication

My dentist is happier cos I'm in and out twice a year, no need for expensive treatment which he has to supply on the NHS which barely covers his cost

I guess you also dont agree with drug addicts being giving methodone, which is prescribed FOC to addicts- costing you the tax payer money

My vaping costs you nothing and it's my health, not yours

And whilst we are at it, I as an (ex) smoker have paid much more in taxes then you. If I was still a smoker, certain health treatments if I needed them would be denied, yet if I was a smoker I would be less of a burden on the NHS as I'd have died early and wouldn't be needing , knee, hip, cateracts ops, long term care in with Alzheimer's

OK you have gone a bit awol in that last post as I did not mention taxpayers or the NHS once in my post and do not even care about that. Look, if you are happy being an addict then carry on.

You are vaping so you ARE still a smoker by the way, especially if it has nicotine in it. How do you not understand that?

How can I be a smoker if there’s no smoke? :)

If I used nico tabs or patches, would I still be a smoker?

I’m leaving it here and agree to disagree

    Happy new year to you

"Dummy tit" funniest thing I've read all day
Up north it is normal to call a babies dummy or pacifier a 'dumb tit'
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

To say that vapers are smokers because there is nicotine in the vape juice is wrong.

For one you can actually buy nicotine free juice.

Theres actually a vape kit sold as a weight loss aid which has no nicotine in the juice and the flavourings in the juice are designed to supress hunger.

GP's are actively promoting vaping, and you can now even get a CBD vape pen via the NHS in some places for those people sufferring with chronic pain/depression/anxiety etc.

I have several 'favourite' vape juices that I buy and I also have a CBD mixer that I add to the juice.

I stopped smoking in 2009 after 14 years, but started vaping after my daughter died. Despite not smoking for 7 years the urge to smoke being sat in the relatives room in the hospital was 100x stronger than when I was a smoker and only got stronger in the next few days.

It's relaxing, over 90% safer than cigs, doesnt smell, doesnt clog up my lungs, doesnt affect anyone else.

Theres no difference between needing to have a vape in the morning, and needing a cup of coffee/tea to fully wake up in a morning.
[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Smoking = nicotine addiction. That is what I am saying.

People smoke because they are addicted to nicotine. Nobody enjoys the taste, it is vile, you just become used to it. I know, I was a smoker as I already stated. People vape because they are still addicted to nicotine and think they are being healthier by doing so.

Deal with your nicotine addiction and you will not need to smoke or vape.

Also tea and coffee have caffeine in them which is also addictive. So yes you are right in saying there is no difference.

Vaping no nicotine for the sake of doing so is probably just hiding some other issues you have - anxiety related perhaps? It is completely pointless. You should be dealing with your anxiety and not pretending to smoke.

I don't mind if people disagree, and I shall not carry on with this discussion as it can only become an argument. You are unlikely to agree anyway as you are still addicts and have not sought help/probably don't care what I am saying either. That is fine too
  • The only 1 thing I know for sure that it`s better to quit smoking at once then to decrease the amount of nicotine every period-it`s not effective...Good luck!

Nicotine isn't dangerous though, so if somebody is addicted to it in a way that doesn't harm them, what's the problem?
