Vape smoking?

So,

Just started using a vape after smoking for nearly 10-11 years, long time, around 15 per day £80-100 per week spent on smoking, just want to give it in.

The problem I have is that my friends have been on vapes for 5 years + I do not want to end up like this, I am currently on 6mg of nicotine and will push my self per month to get my self down from 6 to 3 then 1. Ie, a maximum time of 6 months to be on this thing.

How has it been for everyone to quit smoking the vape? I've always heard of people being addicted to smoking vape once they have finished smoking - has anyone got any personal experience of quitting smoking, then quitting the vape?

Several people are suffered with addicate to Vape smoking?. If a person wants to quit the Vape smoking, then he must follow the good healthy food diets, regular exercise and finally attend the counselling to the health care expert. In a high addicated stage person must addimited to the rehabilation center. It will helpful to that person.

    What a load of bulls**t
  • As an ex smoker, I would advise you to try the Allen Carr book.

That is how I quit 4years ago and haven't once wanted or thought about smoking since. I won't waste any time preaching because only you can make the right choice for your health

I quit smoking 5 years ago and took up the vape.

Best thing i ever did so congratulations in the first instance.
I now completely feel like a non smoker ( I can breathe fully without any wheezing whatsoever - can smell and taste perfectly well again - dont stink like an ashtray etc etc etc)

However I am just as hooked on the vape as i was on the cancer sticks and TBH i am happy to stay using it.

So in short, you will have to work just as hard to kick this habbit - but it isnt killing you in the meantime :)
  • I did the same last year and I am still smoking my ecig but not half as much. I wouldn't worry about it too much, just take as much time as you need, as long as it is doing the trick then that's fine. It is addictive though, I agree but as the comment says above, you will have to stop this habbit which I am sure you are able to do if you can quit smoking. At the end of the day, a vape is better for you than smoking cigarettes.

  • It's true that vaping is also addictive. People use vapes because cigarettes are much more harmful to health than vapes. Vapes may have nicotine but they don't have tar, which is not good for lungs.
That's why they start vaping instead of cigarettes.

I quit smoking last January and took up vaping around Easter I use a 6mg and a bottle lasts two days so I'm not concerned at all about my vaping

I started vaping as I found when out socialising with a drink, I missed the cigarette and I was popping out with the smokers and having a quick puff which I actually totally hated. But the craving when having a drink was really making me antsy. So I got an ecig.

My husband calls it my dummy tit as I'm never without it, but I actually really enjoy vaping. It's nice to be able to vape inside whilst sitting relaxing watching the tv or reading or being on here. My husband also vapes and he's decided this coming year he's going to quit it I'm not. My GP is happy with me vaping, blood pressure is down , lung function has improved, no longer so short of breathe, my oral health is better , etc etc etc

I am quite surprised by this - do GPs honestly advocate people being addicts nowadays?

You are not addicted to "smoking", you are a nicotine addict whether you think of yourself as one or not, it is what you are - are you deep down ok with that?.

There are various juices with varying amounts of nicotine. You can start by reducing the nicotine in the juices.

Long term e cigs /vaping should be a stepping stone to quitting completely. They are much better than smoking cigarettes but are by no means “healthy” and have risks of their own, albeit much less than smoking.
  • I'm an addicted vaper and it costs more than actual cigarettes. I enjoy vaping but would like to stop. I agree the best plan is to decrease the nicotine strength.
"Dummy tit" funniest thing I've read all day
