Amazon denied Claim - SCAM

Hi,
I have been scammed by a seller on Amazon Marketplace in more than 2000 pounds.
The seller should have sent a projector but instead sent a letter with rubish inside to a different address. He sent the package using Special Delivery guarantee by 1pm which have limitation on the box size. I have checked and the projector box is way way above the maximum limit, so it would be impossible for the seller to have sent a projector using that method of delivery.
He doesn't reply anymore to my emails.
I have filled an A-Z claim which was rejected because the tracing number was signed...so Amazon do not take responsability on this.
The name of the company as well do not show as registered with HMRC...
What should I do ? I am raising a chargeback with my bank and will probably go to the small court against amazon. Do I have more options?
Have been trying to contact A-Z Amazon department but they are unreachable.
thanks for the help,
Joao Matos

Why would he send to a different address?0 -
That is part of the scam. If he sent it to me I could have refused to sign the item.
This way he gets a signature for that tracking number.0 -
Is the other address nearby?0

How do you know it went to a different address if it wasn't yours ?Ex forum ambassador

The seller sent me a tracking number, then with the tracking number I found the name of the person he sent the letter.
By the name on Roayl Mail I knew it was a neighbour. I live on number 8 and he lives on number 16.
My neighbour report it to the police as he wasn't excpeting this delivery.
The label on the letter matches with the one the seller sent.0 -
You need to appeal the decision. Amazon are very strict on A-Z and I presume by what you say that the signature and or name aren't yours. You need to highlight this to Amazon and offer your evidence that Mr X at number 16 is not you.0
-
Have done the appeal and have showed evidence that I didn't signed the letter, that the person that signed for the tracking number the seller sent lives in a differente address. They have rejected it as well with the same reason "Signed Tracking number".
For the moment the guys on the customer service are raising forms to that department but every single form gets rejected straigh away.0 -

Huh? Why would anyone report an incorrectly delivered parcel to the police? :huh:Every generation blames the one before...

Have you tried a second A-Z claim for the item not being as described? If Amazon are saying you have the item it would seem appropriate that you can open a claim for not as described. I don't know if you can file a second claim but it would be worth finding out.0
-
Well, he reported it to the police as I would have. A letter addressed to him with rubish inside...who knows what that might be..
I can't file a second claim. Even the forms the customer service is filling and sending to them are being rejected.
I was after some guidance on what to do with Amazon. I am raising a charback with my bank but would prefer to sort this with Amazon directly.0
