The way the article is worded suggests that any Three customer can get this benefit - but I'm pretty sure those on Three's Essential Plan will not get this benefit (for now).

I'm sure you are right, as it stands its only Advanced plan customers that get the 'feel at home' countries.

    Mayotte - that'll be handy......

Let's just hope it actually works, as many times you can't even get google maps to work, let alone browse..

Thought so - I can see that the article has been edited now to reflect this.

Mayotte is in the EU, so seems a bit strange to be announced as an Advanced Plan only free roaming area.
The extra 11 destinations are Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, Vietnam and Mayotte, an overseas region of France.

All mobile phone networks have to allow customers to use their UK allowance in European Union countries, but some networks also allow customers to do so in countries outside the EU.
By means of European Council Decision 2012/419/EU (3), the European Council decided that, from 1 January 2014, the status of Mayotte will be that of an outermost region within the meaning of Article 349 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU) instead of that of an overseas country or territory (OCT) within the meaning of Article 355(2) TFEU. Union tax provisions will apply to Mayotte after this amendment of status.
