Post Office given me invalid receipt.

Hello.
I sent a parcel via the Post office and I later noticed the receipt had printed incorrectly.
There is a lot of information missing because of a printing error, including the tracking number of the parcel.
I have spoken to staff and emailed directly but they continue to state there is nothing they can do to help.
I am wondering if anyone has had a similar situation and what would be the best thing to do.

is it a problem?
always check the receipt before you leave0 -
The most unhelpful answer ever received on a internet forum EVER!0

Why is it a problem now?
Or will it only become a problem if the Parcel is lost or damaged?0 -

You won't get far with that sort of attitude.
Read the post again and answer the question.0 -
The receipt is actually double-sided and appeared to have printed correctly until I got home.
If anyone has genuine advice I fully appreciate it, but blaming me for not checking the receipt is really unhelpful at this stage.
The problems caused by this are I cant track the parcel, cant confirm delivery, cant pass tracking details to the customer, cant claim VAT, cant claim expense, and as pointed out if a loss or damage occurred I would not be able to claim with Royal Mail.0 -
The post office have no way of looking up previous days items/tracking numbers, the question comes up on here a lot although usually when people have lost them rather that an error with printing.
The time to check the information was correct and readable was before leaving the post office, not looking at the preprinted side of the receipt and assume the side with the valuable (to you at least) information was correct.0 -
Thanks, It's worth me knowing from your previous experience on this that they are unable to reprint as a pose to unwilling to help me and I will probably have to consider this a lost cause.
I used a self-service machine which does not have one side of the receipts pre-printed instead it prints double-sided and it appeared perfect when it was presented out to me.0 -

I used a self-service machine which does not have pre-printed sides it is double sided so I do have some information but because of sod's law, the most important parts are missing.
They can probably reprint at the counter if the receipt fails but probably at the time rather than long after the event.
The time to check was when the machine printed. Then you could have taken the receipt to a counter and asked for a receipt that would have had the info on you required.
As you needed it for so many things [the receipt] then you should have made sure it was correct.0 -

With hindsight, I agree. Thanks anyway!0 -

I dont think it was unhelpful and def not the most unhelpful ever.
to most people not getting a receipt wouldnt be a problem, which is why I asked if it was a problem, as you didnt explain in your initial post about all the reasons you wanted it.
You now have done ,which leads to the second part of my post as it was so important.
as you now know, they may have been able to reprint if reported straight away but not after you have left.
It is also helpful in future0
