What would happen if I ignored the fine?
probably a court case in civil court within 6 years
if they win and you fail to pay it within 1 month , a CCJ and your credit rating is trashed for 6 years , affecting credit cards , mortgage , mobile phone contracts etc
google BARRY BEAVIS and see what happened to him when PE took him to task
it ended up in 3 courts, the last one being the Supreme Court
he lost 3 times before 11 judges in total0 -
Parking Eye have been known to issue 30 thousand court claims in a year. Do you want to take that chance?
I mean no disrespect when I say if you can't find a thread despite instructions on how to and a link do you really think you would be able to defend a court claim?0 -
Thanks for your patience guys, I have found it now. Having read how to appeal against a ticket issued by a BPA member - mine wasn't a 'double dip' visit to the car park, so can I still appeal?0
-
yes, just use that blue text template "as is" if you decide to appeal as keeper
no alterations
choose KEEPER on their website , not driver0 -
It looks very like the o/p has admitted parking at a hotel and not staying.
A cursory Google shows that all of the PE signs are affixed to lampposts, save for the perimeter sign.
This is likely to be hard to defend on the basis that signs weren't there to be seen, tbh.0 -
I entered the car park at 21.20 pm in the evening and it was very dark. There were no obvious signs warning drivers about parking?0
-
My view is that, not gospel. Good luck to you in the fight.
The video I just looked at is filmed in daylight. However, every lamp has a parking terms sign on it. That's all I'm pointing out....0
